By using Youstice, you agree that personal information be collected by Youstice. We understand the importance of data privacy and are strongly committed to protecting personal data. This policy covers the way Youstice treats personal information it collects and processes (e.g. postal addresses, email addresses and phone numbers) as well as data related to your cases within Youstice.

Youstice, as a data controller, implements a processing of personal data concerning our users.


We only collect and process personal data received from you, our users, and only do so for the following purposes :

  • - the creation of a user account
  • - the management and monitoring of the service provided by Youstice, i.e. the resolving of a particular case or cases.

Required data for these formalities are indicated by an asterisk when filling out the form. In their absence, the user request cannot be processed and/or all of the functionnalities of the service will not be made available.


We enable access to your data to the other party of the dispute and where applicable, to your selected consumer center or trustmark or service provider (e.g. advisor), their corresponding organizations in the seller’s country as well as your selected online dispute resolution (ODR) provider and its appointed neutral.

In respect of the transmission and access of personal data as set out above, it is only necessary made as part of the execution of the service, within the scope of its activities as service provider. In such instance, the recipient has a contractual commitment to respect security and data privacy and undertakes to implement appropriate measures.

We do not rent, sell or share your personal information or email addresses with any third parties unless expressly mentioned in this policy.


You have the right to inquire about, access, and rectify all of the data relating to you and the right to object on legitimate grounds to their processing. You are bound to comply with the provisions of the applicable law on the protection of personal data. In particular, you must not collect or misuse personal data or otherwise act in a manner that may adversely affect the privacy or reputation of others.

You are solely responsible for the activity occurring on your account, and must keep your password secret at all times. Youstice shall not be held responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account.


We may post customer testimonials on our website that may contain personally identifiable information such as the customer’s name. However, we do obtain the customer’s consent to post their name along with the testimonial prior to posting such testimonial.


We will anonymize certain data from your cases and use them in anonymized form in order to assist other users of Youstice to resolve their issues. Anonymized data mean data which contain no personally identifiable information.


Our Youstice system is intended solely for persons of age 18 or older. Any access or use of Youstice by anyone under 18 is expressly prohibited. By accessing or using Youstice you confirm that you are 18 or older.

We will only process your personal data when we are resolving the case for which your data was submited. We understand case resolution to mean reaching an agreement or issuing a decision as well as monitoring implementation of such outcomes. When the case is resolved for whatever reason (e.g. by implementing a reached settlement or by issuing a decision or when any of the prescribed time limits expires in vain), the parties and the relevant ODR provider are notified that they can instruct Youstice to either archive or delete their case file. If a party is silent, the case file of this silent party will be deleted from Youstice‘s online platform after 90 days.

In addition, if you are a business and you have concluded a Youstice Agreement with us, we will archive the following data for the duration of the Agreement: your name, address, website(s), email and telephone number (if provided).

If you are an individual registered with us, we will archive your registration data for the period of twelve months from your last case. Your registration data includes your name, address, email and telephone number (if provided).

In any event, and for the avoidance of any doubt, Youstice keeps your personal data only for the time necessary to carry out the operation for which they were collected and in accordance with the legislation in force.


We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information and email addresses submitted to us both during transmission and once we receive the information . We limit access to your personal information and email addresses only to relevant employees and/or consultants, who we believe need to come into contact with such information and who are obliged to preserve confidentiality of that information.

We reserve our right to disclose your personally identifiable information when it is required by law.


If we decide to make changes to our privacy practices, we will notify you by posting them onto this privacy statement, on our homepage and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect and how and under what circumstances we use it. This privacy policy may also be amended to reflect changes in laws, regulations and decisions of the data protection authorities.
